BeagleTouch OLED Ekranının Android 2.3.4 Sürümünde Çalıştırılması

BeagleTouchBoardJuiceDIY5Bu yazımızda ise önceki hafta yapmış olduğumuz BeagleBoard için Android 2.3.4 kernel(2.6.37) derleme işlemine Liquidware firmasının ürettiği BeagleTouch OLED ekran  sürücülerini ekleyeceğiz.

Liquidware firmasından satın aldığımız Linux ve Android tabanlı BeagleBoard setleri için firma maalesef linux tarafını açık, Android tarafını ise tamamen kapalı tutuyor. Sebebi ise belli: Linux tarafında ticari bir amaç güdülmüyor fakat Andorid için hazırlamış oldukları 2.1 FroYo sürümlü SD Kart ~100$ civarında satışa sunuluyor. Bu fiyata vermelerinin sebebi ise setlerin tüm sürücülerinin Anrdroid içerisine eklenmiş olması.

Bu yazıda Linux için sunulan kaynaklardan faydalanarak 4.3″ OLED ekranının Android 2.3.4 GingerBread sürümdünde nasıl çalıştırılacağını inceleyeceğiz.

Hatta bu yazının Google Translate tarafından İngilizce’ye çevrilmiş bir linkini de Liquidware mühendislerine göndereceğim.Açık ağızlı gülümseme Eskiden sloganları “Open Soruce Electronics” idi.

Oluşturduğumuz bu çekirdek aşağıdaki özelliklere sahip;

  1. Android 2.3.4 GingerBread ve 2.6.37 kernel sürümde çalışabilme.
  2. Hem OLED ekranın hem de Touchscreen’in sorunsuz çalışması.
  3. Eskiden alınan Y ekseni hatasının tamamen giderilmesi.

Şimdi adım adım hangi dosyalarda değişiklik yaptığımız anlatacağım.

Öncelikle OELD ekranın ve Touchscreen’in en önemli dosyalarını bilmemiz gerekiyor;

Bu dosya içerisinde yaptığımız değişiklikler temel olarak aşağıdaki gibidir;

  • i2c.h ve tsc2007.h başlık dosyalarını sisteme dahil etme
  • LCD Ekran için Pin Multiplexer tanımlamalarını dahil etme
  • I2C ve Touchscreen için gerekli init fonksiyonları
  • Default aygıtı(DVI) BeagleTouch OLED ekran ile değiştirme

board-omap3beagle.c dosyası BeagleBoard için üzerindeki GPIO lara hangi donanımların bağlnacağını belirtme ve derleme aşamasında pinlerin fonsksiyonlarını seçmek için gerekmektedir. Bilindiği gibi BeagleBoard üzerindeki GPIO ların birden fazla fonksiyonu bulunabilmektedir. Biz OLED ekran ve Touchscreen için I2C ve SPI kullanacağımıdan dolayı pin fonksiyonlarını I2C ve SPI olarak kullanacağımızı belirtmiş olduk.

Bu ayarlamaları yaptıktan sonra BeagleBoard belirtilen pinler üzerinden SPI ve I2C haberleşmesi yapacağını anlıyor. Bundan sonra işimiz sadece Touchscreen ve OLED ekran driverlarını düzenlemek olacak.

Bu dosya ise OLED ekranın çalışması için gerekli olan dosya. OLED ekran SPI üzerinden haberleşiyor. Sürücü dosyası içerisinde OLED ekranın ilk açılışı için gerekli olan register ayarları, arka ışık ayarları gibi ayarlamalar bulunuyor.Bu dosyayı doğrudan Liquidware github ında Linux için verilen sürücüler kısmından indirdik.

Bu dosyayı dışarıdan kendimiz eklediğimiz için kernel derleme işlemine bu dosya dahil edilmeyecektir. Bunun için dosyanın bulunduğu dizindeki Kconfig ve Makefile dosyalarına derleme işlemine bu sürücülerin de katılacağına ilişkin satırlar eklememiz gerekiyor.

Bu dosya adından da anlaşılacağı gibi Touchscreen için gerekli olan sürücü dosyasıdır. İlk denemelerimizde Y ekseni hatasını oluşuyordu. Çözümünü ise bu dosyada bazı değişikliler yaparak sağladık. Temel olarak bu sürücü dosyası içerisinde aynı OLED ekranınkinde olduğu gibi bazı init fonksiyonları ve okunan rezistif analog bilginin I2C üzerinden gönderilmesi için gerekli olan fonksiyonlar bulunmaktadır. Yine aynı şekilde bu sürücüyü de Liquidware github ından elde ettik. Y hatasını ise tsc2007_work() fonksiyonu içerisine aşağıdaki satırı ekleyerek çözdük.
